Background:

This session will discuss risk reduction strategies and harm mitigation in cancer prevention.

The topics will include matters such as the need for these type of actions and reasons for the failure of previous strategies, together with some language definitions .

Speakers will also present different fields of application and how to implement reduction measures in practice. Some examples will be presented in obesity and smoking control.
